January 24, 2012 Minutes – RUSC Officers Meeting

  • Meeting times
  1. Club will continue to meet at sqaush courts Fridays at 4:00
  2. Feel free to play with members at whatever times work for you
  3. Club will not try to create additional meeting time slots because it seems that many members avoid playing in assigned times because they get more playing time in non-meeting times
  • Tournament of champions
  1. Tournament of champions final on Thursday at 7:00
  2. Club will have a screening of championship in rec center
  • T-shirts
  1. Ariel is still trying to convince his artistic friend to design a t-shirt
  2. Imagine how pretty they would look if we had t-shirts.

 

November 03, 2011 Minutes – RUSC Officers Meeting

  • Renew club status
    • Renewal approved for 2011-2012.
  • Ladders
    • Box – no games played in box 2 and 3.
    • We are planning to start a new box ladder, and the club will send out a new sign up email soon, so be ready for that.
  • Weekly club meetings
    • Will send out a survey asking about preferred meeting times
    • Reserve hours – officers will meet with Rec Center staff
  • T-shirt
    • We’re looking for somebody who can design the t-shirts either for free or for a small price
  • Fundraising
    • T-shirts are currently the plan to raise some money.
    • Then we will be able to have food at meetings or do some fun things for members.
  • Tournaments:
    • Watching professional matches- keep an eye out for an email about carpooling to the coming tournament in Houston.

 

September 26, 2011 Minutes – RUSC Officers Meeting

  • Elections
    • Ariel Handler elected president
    • Ace Emil elected treasurer
    • Noah Levine elected secretary
    • Went over responsibilities of officers
  • Discussion of meeting times
    • Current meeting times Wednesday 6-8 and Friday 4-6
    • Discussed possibility of extending meeting times to 3 hours with first hour and a half for beginners and second hour and a half for advanced players
    • Ace will create Doodle to survey members on meeting times
  • Discussed Anthony Chan’s responsibility as Club Sponsor
    • Went down checklist to affirm club sponsor responsibilities
  • We want ability to reserve court as a club
    • Officers will meet with Rec Center Staff to ask for ability to reserve courts
    • If this effort fails, Anthony will talk to Rec Center staff
